SCOTTSBORO, Alabama -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office and Alabama Beverage Control arrested a 46-year-old female Thursday and charged her with making moonshine in a home off Alabama 65 in the Estillfork community, according to WAAY-TV.

Approximately 44 gallons of untaxed, illegal moonshine was discovered on the property and seized along with moonshine making equipment. Joenell Marie Craig, 46, of Estillfork was arrested and charged with possession of illegally manufactured alcoholic beverages, a misdemeanor.

Craig was released on her own recognizance, pending further court action. At least one additional arrest is anticipated as the investigation continues.
