This pictures gives you an idea of the sizes. You can see my copper counter flow cooler (condenser) in the back with a green garden hose connected to it.)

The kettle is placed on a sheet of copper, which will form the new bottom of the kettle. I will again use the electrical saw to get it in the right shape..

Step 4:

Cut out the new bottom from the copper sheet. 

-> Keep in mind that you need approx. 1 cm oversize. Otherwise, you do not have enough space to solder the bottom to the kettle.
