a Home made continuous still

Although the process of operating a continuous still seems  quite difficult to handle in a home environment, there is a basic design  available.  I have it laying around for quite some time but I have not been able to try it.  The drawings are scans form a book called "The Alaskan Bootlegger's Bible", which can still be ordered over the web.

The design is extremely simple and requires only a few fairly cheap components.

The main components of the still are:-

  • a soldering iron as a heat source;

  • some standard tubing;

  • cork and a thermometer.

The design of this animal is as follows:  (click on the image to enlarge!)
